A single Event - just delete it

We want to minimize the chance that someone will delete an event by accident. it is a bit difficult to delete.
If this is a single event, just open the event - File - Delete

Linked Event - follow the prompts

1. Linked events are only on one day but are assigned to more than one staff
2. File - Delete
3. Delete ALL removes from everyone's calendars. Unlink will just remove your event.
4. You are on the Master record - so you can delete all events

NOTE: if you are not on the master record, you will get a different prompt. see below

Linked Event - you are not on the master

There is not an option to "goto master" as there is when you are changing an event. If you get this prompt and you just want to delete your event, press YES. If you want to delete the event from everyone's calendar.. you need to press NO and find the master record.

Repeating Events

This Arbitration is 3 days long and both RSB and AAH are scheduled to attend. There are 6 events.

NOTE: although you can open the first event and try to delete, it is not recommended

Delete from the Events list - repeating events

1. Open the Events list
2. Use a combined search
3. Enter the Matter
4. You can search for events with these words in the description OR you can limit the search to one code by using the code Drop down.

Tag - Process - Delete

1. Tag the events to be deleted
2. Open the Process window and click delete BUT make sure the proper number of records are tagged. See next step

NOTE:
key board shortcuts for tagging:
Shift T - tags one event. Hold down T to tag many
Ctrl-T tags all that are showing

STOP - be careful to NOT tag more than you want

Before deleting always make sure the proper number of records are tagged
